This is my mom. This photo was taken in the town where she grew up, Keansburg, New Jersey. I'm uncertain of the year, but I suspect she is younger in this photo than I am now.
I love her. I love her hair, her winter jacket, retro glasses, the way her arm is tucked away into her pocket. She is so damn cool. What does her shoulder-bag look like? What's inside? I bet she has a pen, tissues, coupon pouch, check book and small make-up bag.
Over thirty years has gone by. She is now the mother of two grown woman. Not a day goes by where I don't thank her in one way or another for being such a uniquely loving human being.
